early work
These early forays away from the rectangle are much more observation-based than my later work.
The subject matter itself governs the shape in most of this work, but during my grad school years (2007-10) I began to experiment a lot more with allowing the shape to dictate the subject matter.
I have a lot of affection for this early work, but I have since moved on from it.
